Internship Requirements
- Spring/Fall minimum time commitment of 15 hours/week
- Summer minimum time commitment of 25 hours/week
- Full-time internships available for all semesters
- Minimum GPA of 3.3
- Major or background in business, communications, or international experience
- Advanced written communication skills
- A +plus+ if you speak or are learning a foreign language
- A +plus+ if you have design or leadership experience
- A +plus+ if you enjoy world travel

SKILLS: You will receive extremely valuable training and real-world practice on very specific marketing skills, i.e. SEO website production, lead generation, and more. If there is a certain area you would like to grow your professional experience in, we are more than willing to adapt the internship to fit your long-term career or educational goals.
COMPETITION: This competitive internship should be treated as an extracurricular educational opportunity – only unlike most classes, interns will walk away with real, marketable abilities they can use to build their own online business/presence or simply show off at a career fair with confidence. That being said, there will be extensive training and assignments that must be watched and completed on time.
PAY: Due to extensive training and flexibility, the first 3 months of the internship are usually unpaid. However, there is a benefit ranking system that tracks exceptional Freebird performance. High scores during the internship can lead to competitive paid project opportunities, funded SEO certificates, and even tickets to business conferences as part of Colibri. If you decide you want to do the extension into the longer internship, a rate will be negotiated for your time at Colibri. You can also attain school credit for this internship at your educational institution!
REMOTE: This internship is 100% remote, meaning all work, communication, and collaboration will happen via video, phone or messaging online. You are required to have your own equipment and be within internet access during the internship to collaborate with your team. We can keep each other up-to-date on our whereabouts to meet up anywhere in the world.
INT’L EXPERIENCE: Colibri was founded as an international marketing agency and values diversity in business, people, and the workplace.
